I chose a project that is going to take me to Nigeria for a couple of months. Consequently I needed to go get a yellow fever shot.
I made an appointment and had three shots (I also got two boosters) and 50 days of malaria meds for approximately $120 straight up -- no insurance billing, etc. I was in and out in 20 min and filled out one piece of paper.
While my copay would have been less than $120 in the U.S., the total bill (i.e. my copay + what the doctor bills insurance) would probably have been 2x that, I would have filled out a lot more paperwork, and I would have waited 20 min to see the doctor.
(I also wish I could have recorded the female nurse's voice. "Mozzies," "jolly sick," and all sorts of other expressions.)

That's a shame. That would've been great to listen to. Next time you'll be ready with the recorder.
