Obama in Africa

I’m not in the States, but it sounds like Obama is slipping in the polls. If you took a poll over here in Africa I don’t think you would find the same thing. There is a prominent poster as you leave the Abuja airport declaring a presidential candidate to be “the Nigerian Obama.” (There's no big health system to revise, so what exactly would that mean? He would get an Igbo and a Hausa to have a beer together with him?) In Kenya I saw people wearing Obama t-shirts, and you could buy Obama curios in a Nairobi market – though the latter may say more about U.S. tourist shopping predilections than Kenyan political leanings.
