Israel. It’s a touchy subject.

I learned a ton in Israel, and you’ll hear about some of it through these posts. As I was processing everything (including opposing views) I realized that I should reiterate a disclaimer, since Israel is a touchy subject and I’m not sure where my audience is coming from. A lot of times I will relate what I was told by Israelis, Arabs, or others. Repeating that information does not mean that I necessarily agree with their facts (since those are sometimes disputed, or only certain facts are given) or their conclusions/explanations. I will sometimes add my (as of that point) current opinion or other facts/info I know. The realities in Israel are rarely what you might think from media reports. My opinions are shifting because of this trip, and I’ll add the disclaimer that I heard much more from certain viewpoints. Basically, don't write me off -- if you disagree, let's discuss it.

Another note: I wrote some things while in Israel and now I am adding/fleshing out. That means my tenses might change sometimes (I am/I did) and sometimes I might write something using information that I learned later in the trip and that you haven't read. Bear with me.
